Not many other art courses or schools have allowed me to develop my skills so quickly and provided me with the confidence to progress. I’m glad I discovered Edinburgh School of Icon painting – the only qualified traditional icon painting tuition in Scotland.

I would highly recommend the Edinburgh School of Icon painting. Basia is a highly skilled tutor and artist. Her expert tuition in icon paintings has helped me enjoy a new medium and in turn broadened my horizons. All levels of abilities are catered for in a friendly and creative environment.

I participated in the one week long intensive course. Spread over five days, we created an icon from an image of our choice. Basia is a kind and supportive teacher with incredible knowledge and experience of the media. I learned a lot and had an enjoyable time. Highly recommended for absolute beginners and experienced artists.

This is the end of my second year year of attending classes at Edinburgh School of Icon Painting. I have made great progress during that time, due to Basia's patient and skilful tuition. The important basics are taught thoroughly and there is also a friendly yet spiritual atmosphere in the studio. I would warmly recommend a course of ESIP tuition to anyone interested in icons and their execution.
